Club Cascadas de Baja has always struck me as a true original: the unique design, the intimate size, the cozy comfort, and the friendly staff all make it a welcoming environment.
While I have never had the pleasure of staying at Club Cascadas, I often wander through on my way to Cascadas Beach Grill, an excellent restaurant that is open to guests and non-guests alike. Dine on delicious food with your toes in the sand on Medano Beach – what more could you ask for!
So I was more than excited, and a little proud, when I was asked to do this article on pioneers Ed and Pat Giddings, who designed and built Club Cascadas. Their son Mark Giddings was very generous with his time, and had wonderful stories to tell about his family and early Cabo San Lucas.
I hope you enjoy reading this article as much as I enjoyed writing it, in this year that Club Cascadas celebrates its 40th anniversary as a pillar of the Los Cabos community.
